The Sandringham Christmas Crafts, Food and Gift Fair is back for the 27th year and is bigger and better than ever! Come and be welcomed by a seasonal glass of punch before you wander on in to our Winter Wonderland.
Of course, we have the usual huge undercover and inter-linked craft marquees, full of crafters from all over the UK. All the products in these marquees are handmade so you know you are getting something completely unique. We have stunning jewellery from a wide variety of
jewellers and in a number of different styles from glass through to the more traditional silvers, golds and precious stones. Pottery, in some cases brought to life before your eyes; or glassware, painted or etched – or even created by our glass-blowers in one of their popular hourly demonstrations. From teddy bears made of alpaca wool, to soaps made of herbs and flowers; wood-turned pens or leather belts; handmade toys and children’s clothes. There really is something for everyone and an ideal place to start the Christmas shopping – and maybe pick up a few new Christmas decorations for the tree at the same time.
Browse the many different tastes of our huge food halls and taste before you buy some of the delicious gins, liqueurs, flavoured sausages or cheeses, sauces, chutneys or relishes, chocolates, fudges…. If you know a foodie this is a great place to find a unique and welcome Christmas present for them, but you may also want to take home something for your own Christmas preparations, or maybe just dinner tonight!
More Christmas presents in our gift marquees where you will find footwear, country clothing, hats, bags, doggy treats, toys and so much more!
Fiery Jack’s Games Emporium
Fiery Jack is back with us this year with his amazing games emporium. Make time to stop and play awhile, on oversized Jenga, skittles, quoits, or a plethora of other games which one of our friendly on hand jesters will be delighted to explain to you. For the young and the young at heart. But be warned. You might find yourself caught up in the magic and stay and play longer than you thought! (no extra charge)
Unicorn Carriage Rides
Every child’s dream! A unicorn drawn carriage will take you on a magical ride around part of the Sandringham estate. We can’t promise snow – but it is is sure to be a highlight! (£2 per person)
Getting us into the spirit of Christmas we have live music all weekend with the amazing Chanter’s Jigge and their plethora of unusual instruments and the wonderful Bill Bailey Band, who are bound to get your feet tapping.
On Saturday and Sunday we will also be welcoming The West Norfolk Reed Band; joined on Saturday by The Cambridgeshire Pipe Band, and on Sunday by the Castleton Brass Band.
N&J Horses will be not only providing the unicorns for our carriage rides but also bringing their small herd of Santa’s reindeer for you to meet and make sure they know your address for the big night! Unfortunately the magic only works on Christmas Eve so they will not be flying for you, but they love to meet some of the children they’ll be visiting…
Working Craft Demonstrations
A highlight of the show is always seeing how some of these amazing crafters do what they do to produce what they produce! Watch our hourly glass blowing demonstrations by Ed and Margy (come early for a seat, these are always popular!); see our blacksmiths at work in the traditional way; watch our master-weaver produce his rugs; our potters at work; our jewellers or wood-turners or leather-workers. Plenty to see and maybe take away the end result as that special Christmas present?
Chainsaw Carving Elves
They’re back by popular demand! Our chainsaw carving elves of Santa’s workshop will be hard at work all weekend, producing both large carvings and small. Three times daily they will also be in the ring and carving to the timer as they have just thirty minutes to come up with a carving which will then be auctioned off to the highest bidder. Great fun to watch and you could go home with something really unique for the garden or conservatory.
You may have seen Father Christmas at a number of different venues in the run up to Christmas, but at Sandringham Christmas Craft Fair we have persuaded him to do something a little different and bring his collection of owls to meet you. Didn’t know Santa had owls? Well you do now, and you are very welcome to come and meet them and have a photo taken with them. And him. If you like.
